CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
Trusted by Hybrid & EV Owners Nationwide
Totally recommend Greentec Auto in Vancouver if you need a Tesla battery replacement . I couldn’t believe how quick the whole process was — way better and faster communication than anything I ever got from Tesla. Super happy with the whole experience. Great job guys!

Great experience with Greentec! Hybrid battery in my 2007 Camry went after nearly twenty years. Explored my options, including going directly through the Toyota dealership, and found Greentec – positive reviews, competitive pricing, and better warranty. Spoke with Joe over the phone, and got a mobile installation set up within the week. Bill and Senna were stellar – made the trip over to Vancouver Island, and got the work done in under two hours. Everyone was great to deal with. Thanks guys! Would recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with the service, it was fast and the price was way better than any other place. I highly recommend Greentec Auto Canada for anyone with a hybrid battery work

Battery Replacement for Nissan Altima Hybrid
The Nissan Altima Hybrid offered midsize sedan comfort with impressive fuel economy during its production years. These vehicles remain on Canadian roads, and owners still need quality battery service to keep them running efficiently.
We provide 2 battery options for Nissan Altima Hybrid models, ensuring proper fit and performance for your specific year. The Altima Hybrid uses a sophisticated system that requires proper diagnostics and calibration during battery replacement. Simply swapping batteries without proper procedures causes system errors and poor performance.
Our Altima battery replacement service includes complete system testing before and after installation. This verifies that the new battery integrates correctly with your vehicle’s hybrid control system. After replacement, your Altima returns to delivering the fuel efficiency and reliable operation Nissan engineered into this sedan.

Why Battery Problems Happen
Hybrid batteries don’t last forever. Every charge and discharge cycle causes small amounts of degradation. Over thousands of cycles spanning 8-10 years, this degradation accumulates until the battery can no longer provide adequate power or hold sufficient charge.
Heat accelerates this process. High temperatures stress the battery’s internal chemistry and components. Canadian summers combined with engine heat create challenging conditions for hybrid batteries.
Age matters even without obvious symptoms. If your Nissan Altima Hybrid is approaching 10 years old, battery testing makes sense even if everything seems fine. Proactive testing helps you plan replacement on your schedule rather than dealing with unexpected failure.
Our Nissan Battery Replacement Process
Step 1: Diagnostic Testing – We connect professional diagnostic equipment to read your Nissan’s hybrid system data. This testing checks battery voltage, cell balance, capacity, and charging system function. Accurate diagnosis ensures we only recommend replacement when truly needed.
Step 2: Safety Procedures – Before touching the battery, we follow Nissan’s high-voltage safety procedures. This protects our technicians and your vehicle’s sensitive electronics from damage during service.
Step 3: Battery Removal – We carefully disconnect and remove your old battery. Proper removal prevents damage to mounting points, wiring harnesses, and nearby components.
Step 4: Installation – Your new battery gets installed with attention to proper mounting, secure connections, and correct positioning. Details matter because poor installation causes premature failure.
Step 5: System Calibration – The hybrid control module needs to recognize and adapt to the new battery. We perform required calibration procedures so your Nissan’s systems work together properly.

Making Smart Financial Decisions
Battery replacement costs money, but continuing to drive with a failing battery costs more. Here’s the reality:
A healthy hybrid battery helps your Nissan achieve 35-40 MPG. A dying battery drops that to 25 MPG or less. If you drive 15,000 kilometers annually, the difference costs you hundreds of dollars in wasted fuel each year.
We provide transparent pricing when you contact us. The cost depends on which battery option fits your Nissan and what warranty coverage you choose. We explain your options clearly so you can make informed decisions.
Every battery installation includes warranty protection. Check our warranty policy for complete coverage details. Quality batteries typically include better warranty terms, which protects your investment over the long term.
Read experiences from other Nissan owners in our reviews section. Real customers share honest feedback about our pricing, service quality, and overall experience.

Know Your Hybrid’s Battery Health Without Breaking the Bank
If you notice warning lights on your dashboard, don’t rush to the dealership for an expensive diagnostic report. Many local auto parts stores can scan your vehicle and provide error codes for free—just ask them to run a quick scan with a diagnostic tool.
Above, we’ve listed some of the most common hybrid error codes. Keep in mind that the check engine light must be onfor major issues to be detected. If your vehicle is experiencing hybrid battery failure, dealerships often charge thousands of dollars for a replacement—typically with a limited warranty.
At Greentec Auto, we offer a cost-effective alternative, providing high-quality hybrid battery replacements at a fraction of the price. Plus, we back our batteries with a comprehensive warranty to give you peace of mind.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do Nissan Altima Hybrid batteries last?
Most Nissan Altima Hybrid batteries last 8-10 years with normal use. Factors like climate, driving patterns, and maintenance affect exact lifespan. If your Altima is approaching this age range, battery testing is recommended.
What symptoms indicate my Nissan needs a new battery?
Watch for dashboard warning lights, significantly reduced fuel economy, weak acceleration, the gas engine running constantly, and difficulty starting. Any combination of these symptoms suggests battery testing is needed.
Can I replace my Nissan battery myself?
Hybrid battery replacement involves high-voltage systems that are dangerous without proper training and equipment. Professional installation also ensures warranty coverage and correct system calibration that DIY replacement can’t provide.
